I have worked on the campus of Indiana University for eleven years as a manager in their residence hall system prior to coming to California in February, 2001. I have worked for five years as a Lead Systems Engineer in IT at Gap Inc., an iconic specialty retailer and great place to work. I am the proud father of six terrific kids, five of whom were adopted internationally from Haiti. They currently reside in Georgia, as does my exwife. Personal Characteristics My personal appearance is like that of both Kiefer Southerland 60 and Tom Hanks 40. I love cats & dogs; reading; and shopping for antiques, like my vintage 1915 Edison Amberola 30. I like listening to music and record collecting too. The literary arts from both fiction and nonfiction sources historical or contemporary have always made me pause to take notice. I like to read and collect books in addition to texts in electronic format. I have a passion for driving classic cars; cosmology; tinkering with things, like 8bit computers; watch collecting; meeting new people, especially from different cultures; learning new technologies; and hanging out with family. I value things that are well organized, clean and simple. I strive to live for the moment, while continually looking forward.
