Frank McPherson in Computers & PCs Resource Directory

    

Frank McPherson is the author of How To Do Everything With Your Pocket PC & Handheld PC, How To Do Everything With Your Pocket PC, 2nd Edition, and has been using PDAs since they were introduced in 1993. His first device was the Original Newton Message Pad, which was upgraded to a MP 100. Later he bought his current Newton, a MP 120. When Windows CE was introduced in 1996 he bought one of the first Handheld PCs, the HewlettPackard 320 LX. Since then he has purchased and used all classes of Windows Powered devices ranging from the Palmsize PC, Handheld PC Professional and the new Pocket PC and Handheld PC 2000. When the Newton MessagePads were first introduced Frank became an active participant of the Newton area on Compuserve, and later became a discussion leader. He is currently an Assistant Forum Manager for the Windows CE forum at Computing Central. In March, 1999 Frank was recognized by Microsoft as a Most Valuable Professional for Windows CE. Frank has been a sports columnist and reporter for the Norway Current, a weekly newspaper in Norway, Michigan, and has also covered high school sports for the Iron Mountain Daily News in Iron Mountain, Michigan. Articles written by Frank about Windows CE have appeared in Windows CE Powered Magazine, Pocket PC Magazine, and PocketPC. Frank graduated in 1989 from Michigan Technological University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science. He is currently employed by EDS as a Senior Information Specialist and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
