KiSS: Paper dolls for your computer in Computers & PCs Resource Directory

KiSS dolls are usually stored in LZH archives with a few using ZIP, and use DOS naming conventions. The archive will include the following types of files: Cel files .CEL Cel files contain the pixel data for each element of a KiSS doll. They may contain either 16 or 256 colours per file. A single item of clothing may be constructed from many cels. Palette files .KCF Palette files provide a mapping from the colour numbers in the cel file to the actual colours used in the display with colour zero being defined to be transparent. Dolls will have at least one palette file, and may have several. Configuration file .CNF All dolls have at least one CNF file; this tells the program how big the image is, which palette files go with which cel files, how the cels are combined into objects, and the positions of the various objects. It may also include French KiSS scripting instructions.
